Shipping & Handling Policy
Shipping & Handling Policy – Mariajeunet
At Mariajeunet, we aim to make every delivery as smooth and reliable as possible, from the moment you place an order to the arrival of your gifts and other purchases.
Please review this Shipping & Handling Policy before completing your purchase.
1. Order Processing
After checkout, your order enters our processing system. This stage may include payment verification, inventory checks, order-detail confirmation, product preparation, quality checks, packaging, and coordination with the appropriate shipping provider.
Order processing time is separate from shipping transit time.
Orders are generally processed on business days. Processing may take longer during weekends, public holidays, seasonal shopping periods, promotional events, or periods of unusually high order volume.
2. Estimated Delivery Time
Delivery time varies depending on the destination, selected shipping method, carrier capacity, customs procedures, local delivery services, weather conditions, public holidays, transportation disruptions, and seasonal demand.
Delivery estimates displayed on our website or at checkout are approximate unless expressly stated otherwise. Actual delivery may occur earlier or later than expected.
3. Processing Time vs. Transit Time
Processing time refers to the period required to prepare your order before it leaves our fulfillment facility.
Transit time begins when the package is handed over to the shipping carrier.
The estimated overall delivery period is generally calculated as follows:
Order Processing Time + Shipping Transit Time = Estimated Total Delivery Time
Please consider both stages when estimating your package's arrival date.
4. Shipping Confirmation
After your order has been dispatched, we may send a shipping confirmation to the email address provided during checkout.
Depending on the shipment, the confirmation may include your order number, carrier details, tracking number, tracking link, and available shipment status information.
If you do not see the email in your inbox, please check your spam or junk folder.
5. Tracking Your Order
Once tracking information becomes available, you can monitor your shipment through the tracking number or link provided in your shipping confirmation.
Tracking details may not appear immediately after a tracking number is generated. The carrier may require additional time to receive the parcel, scan it, and register the information in its tracking system.
Statuses such as “Label Created,” “Shipment Information Received,” “Pre-Shipment,” or “Electronic Information Submitted” generally indicate that shipment information has been transmitted, but the parcel may not yet have received its first physical scan.
6. Tracking Updates
Tracking information is managed by the relevant carrier. Updates may occasionally be delayed or temporarily unavailable because of carrier processing, international transportation, customs inspections, weekends, public holidays, remote destinations, local postal systems, or limited tracking capabilities.
A temporary lack of tracking updates does not necessarily mean that your package has been lost.
7. International Shipping
Mariajeunet may offer international delivery to destinations supported by the shipping options available at checkout.
International shipments may pass through multiple logistics providers, including international carriers, customs authorities, regional distribution partners, local postal services, and final-mile delivery companies.
As a result, tracking information may not be updated continuously throughout the entire delivery journey.
8. Customs Clearance
International packages may be inspected by customs authorities in the destination country. Clearance procedures and processing times are determined by the relevant authorities and may vary by location.
Mariajeunet cannot control or expedite customs processing. Delays may occur while officials review package contents, shipping documentation, declared value, import eligibility, or applicable duties and taxes.
Tracking updates will generally resume when new shipment information becomes available following customs processing.
9. Customs Duties, Taxes, and Import Charges
Depending on the destination, an order may incur import duties, customs fees, value-added tax, local taxes, brokerage fees, or other government-imposed charges.
If these charges are not collected at checkout, the carrier, customs authority, or local government may request payment before or upon delivery.
Unless otherwise stated, customers are responsible for import charges imposed by the destination country. These charges are determined by the relevant authorities and are outside Mariajeunet's control.
10. Shipping Fees
Where shipping charges apply, they may depend on the delivery destination, order value, package weight and dimensions, selected shipping method, and any applicable shipping promotion.
The shipping fee applicable to your order will generally be displayed during checkout before payment is completed.
11. Free Shipping Promotions
Mariajeunet may offer free shipping promotions from time to time.
Eligibility may depend on minimum purchase amounts, qualifying destinations, eligible products, promotional periods, or other stated conditions.
If an order no longer qualifies for free shipping after an item is removed, canceled, or returned, the original shipping benefit may be adjusted where permitted by applicable law.
12. Orders Dispatched in Multiple Packages
Orders containing several products may be divided into separate shipments because of warehouse locations, product availability, package dimensions, fulfillment requirements, or carrier restrictions.
In these cases, you may receive multiple tracking numbers or shipping confirmation emails, and the packages may arrive on different dates.
The arrival of one package does not necessarily mean that the remaining items are missing.
13. Shipping Address Accuracy
Customers are responsible for providing complete and accurate delivery details at checkout.
Please verify the recipient's name, street address, apartment or unit number, city, state or province, postal or ZIP code, country, and telephone number before submitting your order.
Incorrect or incomplete information may result in delivery delays, unsuccessful delivery attempts, misplaced packages, or shipments being returned to the sender.
14. Changing Your Shipping Address
If you need to correct your delivery address, please contact our customer service team as soon as possible.
We will make reasonable efforts to update the information if your order has not progressed too far through processing or dispatch.
Once an order has entered fulfillment, been packed, been handed to a carrier, or entered the delivery network, an address change may no longer be possible. We cannot guarantee that changes requested after checkout can be accommodated.
15. Incorrect Addresses Provided by Customers
If delivery fails because the address is inaccurate or incomplete, the carrier may delay the shipment, hold the package, return it to the sender, or classify it as undeliverable.
If the package is returned and you request another delivery, additional shipping fees may apply where permitted by applicable law.
16. Delivery Attempts
Depending on the carrier and destination, delivery may require a signature, the recipient's availability, collection from a designated pickup location or post office, or compliance with specific delivery instructions.
If an initial delivery attempt is unsuccessful, the carrier may attempt delivery again or provide instructions for collecting the package.
Customers are responsible for monitoring and following delivery notifications supplied by the carrier.
17. Unclaimed Packages
Packages that are not collected within the carrier's specified holding period may be returned to the sender.
An unclaimed package does not automatically qualify for an immediate refund. After it is returned, we may need to inspect and process the package before determining an appropriate resolution.
Additional shipping fees may apply if another delivery is requested.
18. Refused Deliveries
Whenever possible, please contact our customer service team before refusing a delivery.
Refusal may result in return shipping costs, carrier fees, customs charges, or additional processing time. A refused package does not automatically qualify for a full refund.
If a refund is applicable, the amount may depend on the circumstances of the refusal and any related costs, subject to applicable law.
19. Delivery Delays
Although we work with shipping partners to support timely delivery, delays may occur because of circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
Potential causes include severe weather, natural disasters, customs backlogs, carrier congestion, public holidays, transportation interruptions, labor disruptions, remote destinations, government restrictions, inaccurate shipping information, seasonal order surges, and unexpected logistics events.
Unless a delivery date is expressly guaranteed, delivery estimates should not be treated as assured deadlines.
20. Peak-Season Delays
Orders placed during busy shopping periods may require additional processing or transit time.
These periods may include holiday seasons, festive gift-shopping periods, promotional campaigns, clearance events, major shopping events, and carrier peak periods.
If your order is intended for a particular holiday or special occasion, we recommend placing it as early as reasonably possible.
21. Weather and Transportation Disruptions
Severe weather, natural disasters, airport closures, transportation restrictions, and other disruptions may affect shipping networks and delay deliveries.
These events are outside Mariajeunet's direct control. If your shipment is affected, the carrier's tracking system may provide the latest available status information.
22. Packages Marked as Delivered
If tracking indicates that a package has been delivered but you cannot locate it, please check your mailbox, front door or porch, side or rear entrance, garage, parcel locker, reception desk, building management office, mailroom, designated safe locations, household members, and neighbors.
Some carriers may update a shipment to “Delivered” shortly before the package is physically handed over.
We recommend contacting the carrier or local postal service for further delivery information. If the package remains missing, contact our customer service team with your order number and tracking details so we can review the available information.
23. Potentially Lost Shipments
If your shipment appears to have been lost in transit, please contact our customer service team.
We may need to request an investigation from the shipping carrier. The process and timeframe may vary depending on the carrier, destination, shipping method, current shipment status, and local postal procedures.
We may ask you to provide additional information or cooperate with the investigation where necessary.
24. Damaged Packages
If your package arrives visibly damaged, please photograph the outer packaging, shipping label, damaged areas, product packaging, and affected merchandise.
Contact us as soon as reasonably possible with your order number and supporting photographs. This information may help us investigate the matter with the carrier.
25. Missing Items
If an item appears to be missing from your order, first check whether the order was dispatched in multiple packages.
Please review your shipping confirmation emails, tracking numbers, and shipment details.
If all associated packages have been delivered but an item is still missing, contact our customer service team and provide your order number, the name of the missing product, photographs of the package received, and a photograph of the shipping label where possible.
26. Shipping Restrictions
Certain products or destinations may be subject to restrictions imposed by local laws, carrier policies, import requirements, transportation regulations, or product-specific limitations.
If we are unable to ship an item to your location, we may contact you to discuss cancellation or another available option.
27. Remote and Hard-to-Reach Destinations
Deliveries to remote or rural areas, islands, military addresses, and other locations that are difficult to access may take longer than standard deliveries.
Depending on the destination and carrier, additional fees may apply, or a local delivery partner may handle the final stage of transportation.
28. P.O. Boxes and Special Delivery Addresses
Delivery to P.O. boxes, military addresses, parcel lockers, and similar destinations depends on the shipping carrier and destination.
If the selected shipping service cannot deliver to the address provided, we may contact you to request an alternative delivery address.
29. Shipping Protection and Insurance
Where shipping insurance or parcel protection is available, coverage and conditions depend on the service or carrier involved.
Any optional shipping protection offered during checkout may be subject to separate terms and conditions. Please review those terms before purchasing additional protection.
30. Cancellation After Dispatch
Once an order has been dispatched, cancellation is generally no longer available.
If you no longer wish to keep the order, you may need to receive the package and then submit a return request in accordance with our Refund & Return Policy.
Please contact us before refusing a delivery, as refusal may result in additional fees or other complications.
31. Packages Returned to Sender
A shipment may be returned to its sender because of an incorrect or incomplete address, unsuccessful delivery attempts, an unclaimed package, recipient refusal, customs issues, or carrier restrictions.
If your package is returned to the sender, please contact our customer service team. We will review the circumstances and explain the available options.
32. Reshipping Orders
If another shipment is required because of a confirmed error attributable to Mariajeunet, we will work with you toward an appropriate resolution.
If reshipping is necessary because of information supplied by the customer, such as an inaccurate delivery address, additional shipping fees may apply where legally permitted.
33. Shipping Fees and Refunds
Shipping charges may be non-refundable unless the order is canceled before dispatch, the shipment was incorrect because of an error on our part, the item was confirmed defective where applicable, or reimbursement is required by law.
For more information about return eligibility and refund calculations, please review our Refund & Return Policy.
34. Responsibility After Delivery
Once the carrier confirms successful delivery to the address provided at checkout, the shipment is generally considered delivered.
If you believe the package was delivered to the wrong location, stolen, or left in an unsafe place, please contact the carrier and our customer service team as soon as possible.
We will review the available tracking and delivery records to help assess the situation. Any resolution will be handled in accordance with the circumstances and applicable law.
35. Circumstances Beyond Our Reasonable Control
Mariajeunet is not responsible for shipping delays or delivery failures caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, subject to applicable law.
Such circumstances may include natural disasters, severe weather, war, civil unrest, government actions, public health emergencies, customs disruptions, transportation interruptions, carrier failures, internet or system outages, and other extraordinary events.
We will make reasonable efforts to assist affected customers and resume normal operations when circumstances permit.
36. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Shipping & Handling Policy periodically to reflect changes in carrier services, logistics operations, shipping fees, international shipping requirements, business practices, or legal and regulatory obligations.
The latest version will be published on our official website at www.mariajeunet.com.
We recommend reviewing this policy before placing an order so that you understand our current shipping and delivery procedures.
